Meet the Team


Jennifer Wiles, MA, LMHC, BC-DMT

Director of HEARTplay, Camp Erin Boston and Children's Services at CareGroup Parmenter Home Care & Hospice, Inc.

Jennifer is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist. Jennifer has served as the director of Children's Services, the HEARTplay program and Camp Erin Boston for the past five years. Under Jennifer's direction, children's services has expanded significantly in the past year; bringing her award winning programs east to serve more grieving children. She is on the adjunct faculty of Lesley University's Graduate School of Arts and Social Sciences, and an approved site supervisor for their Field Training Program.
Jennifer leads the school age group and teen group at HEARTplay WEST in Wayland, one Saturday a month 10AM- 12PM (school age), 1PM-3PM (teen). Jennifer also supports and guides the teen mentors. In addition Jennifer leads the young adult group that takes place every other Wednesday 6:30-8PM.

Niki Pugach, MSW, LICSW

 Hospice Social Worker at CareGroup Parmenter Home Care & Hospice, Inc.

Niki has over 30 years of experience bringing her grace, wisdom, and unwavering support to countless families as a Hospice Social Worker. Niki always finds time to support Children's Services in the community, at HEARTplay and at Camp Erin Boston. Niki is an animal lover and treasures time spent with her dogs, Amos and Blue.
Niki facilitates the parent/caregiver support group for HEARTplay WEST in Wayland, one Saturday a month 10 AM- 12 PM.

Stephanie Chancey, MA, R-DMT

Children's Services Counselor at CareGroup Parmenter Home Care & Hospice, Inc.

Stephanie is a Master's Level Clinician, Registered Dance/Movement Therapist and Licensed Elementary and Preschool Teacher.  She is currently pursuing LMHC licensure. Stephanie completed her graduate internship with Jennifer Wiles and feels incredibly fortunate to continue this work as a member of the Children's Services Team.

Stephanie leads the preschool/kindergarten HEARTplay Group at HEARTplay WEST in Wayland, one Saturday a month 9-9:45AM.

Johanna Chao, Hospice Chaplain at CareGroup Parmenter Home Care & Hospice, Inc.
As a Pastoral Counsellor and Spiritual Director, Johanna Chao is now called to be a Hospice Chaplain serving the dying patients and their families. She has been part of the interdisciplinary team, makes home visits, provides active and empathetic listening, raises soul searching questions, and offers affirmation, encouragement and validation through patients' and families' diverse and unique life experiences. Most importantly, she helps all to discover, explore, renew, enhance, reconcile and articulate their values, meaning, and relationships through their faith and philosophy of life.

She believes and facilitates "Blessed are those who mourn..." and the presence of Mercy in those who grieve - on going.

Johanna facilitates the parent/caregiver support group for HEARTplay EAST in Newton, one Saturday a month 10-11:30AM.
Ashley Griffin, RN at Lahey Clinic
Ashley helps facilitate the HEARTplay group at Cambridge Community Center.
Jon Hazilla, Percussion and Running Specialist at HEARTplay. 
We are fortunate to have Jon bring his incredible experience as a musician and mentor to our HEARTplay groups.
Jon has been a Professor at Berklee College for twenty-nine years. Jon's natural gift for teaching keeps him in high demand in and around Boston and worldwide.
He is co-founder of "Jazz On Wheels " a volunteer group of musicians that performs free concerts at Boston Public libraries for inner city children. He was a mentor for the City Music Program, volunteered for Habitat For Humanity helping victims of Hurricane Katrina and was music facilatator for Project Common Bond serving young adults  from around the world who have experienced trauma.
He is a certified Hospice volunteer for Aseracare Hospice. He is a Pastoral Associate at First Parish Unitarian Universalist church in Brookline, Massachusetts and teaches in the R. E. program. He has run forty marathons and one ultra, and has a P.R. of 2:38 .
Audrey LaVallee, LMHC, BC-DMT, HEARTplay Group Leader
Audrey LaVallee is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist. Her experience includes work with elders and adults living with a wide range of challenges including alzheimers/dementia, mental illness, trauma, substance abuse, cognitive disabilites and chronic illness. She has also enjoyed teaching and training therapists as adjunct faculty at Lesley University and Endicott College.
She is passionate about dance and performs locally when she can spare time from her two young boys! She is continually fascinated and inspired by the capacity for movement to connect us to ourselves and to each other.  She is very excited to join the HEARTplay Team!

Katie McGrail, Intern in Children's Services at CareGroup Parmenter Home Care & Hospice, Inc. Graduate student at Lesley University
Katie is a graduate student at Lesley University studying clinical mental health counseling with a specialization in dance/movement therapy (MA expected may 2017). She holds a BA in Sociology-based Human Relations and a certificate in Community Action & Public Policy from Connecticut College (2012). Katie also has a variety of experience teaching dance and movement to both children and adults and is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor. Katie is honored to be a part of the HeartPlay team.
Mallory Polivka, Intern in Children's Services at CareGroup Parmenter Home Care & Hospice, Inc.  Graduate student at Lesley University
Mallory Polivka is currently a third-year Master's student at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA, studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Dance/Movement Therapy. She is also working toward a certification in Laban Movement Analysis through the Laban Institute of Movement Studies. Mallory is originally from Wisconsin, loves cats, and enjoys being a part of HEARTplay.
